National Times Bureau :- Punjab is now firmly in the grip of severe winter conditions, with the cold wave escalating to alarming levels across the state. The Meteorological Department on Friday issued a Yellow Alert for six districts, signalling the onset of dangerously low temperatures and harsh weather. The districts placed under the alert include Fazilka, Muktsar Sahib, Bathinda, Faridkot, Jalandhar and Moga, where icy winds and a sharp fall in minimum temperatures have created a heightened risk for vulnerable groups, particularly the elderly, children and those with health concerns.
