Windhoek/New Delhi, July 9 — Prime Minister Narendra Modi was on Wednesday awarded Namibia’s highest civilian honour, the Order of the Most Ancient Welwitschia Mirabilis, as he arrived in the country on the final leg of his nine-day, five-nation diplomatic visit.Instituted in 1995, just five years after Namibia’s independence, the award recognises individuals for exceptional service and leadership.
