Derabassi (SAS Nagar), March 6, 2025:As a part of statewide mock exercise to prevent Chemical Disaster, National Disaster Response Force's 7th Batallion from Ponjore in coordination with District Administration, Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar conducted a drill at Punjab Chemical and Crop Protection Limited, Derabassi, today. SAS Nagar, March 4, 2025 – Preparations for the state-level mock drill on chemical disasters, scheduled for March 6 in Dera Bassi, were reviewed during a high-level meeting at the District Administrative Complex under the chairpersonship of Deputy Commissioner Komal Mittal. Officials from various departments participated to ensure smooth execution of the drill.During the meeting, the Deputy Commissioner directed officials to stay prepared for emergencies like chemical disasters, floods, CBRN (Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear) incidents, fires, and earthquakes, which are potential risks in Punjab.
