Chandigarh, September 2 – The Haryana government has approved a major initiative to strengthen and modernize the state’s irrigation system with an estimated cost of ₹315 crore. The decision was taken at a high-level meeting chaired by Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini, where a comprehensive remodeling plan for canal minors was given the green signal.Under this plan, around 54 projects will be implemented across Yamuna Water Service, Loharu Water Service, and Jawaharlal Nehru Circles. The project includes rehabilitation of 30 canals and remodeling of 24 canals using modern techniques to ensure timely and adequate supply of irrigation water to farmers.The…
