Amritsar (National Times): Tensions flared on Wednesday morning when a team of over 25 officials from the Punjab Vigilance Bureau raided the residence of senior Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) leader and former cabinet minister Bikram Singh Majithia in Majitha, near Amritsar. The raid, reportedly part of an ongoing investigation into alleged financial irregularities, quickly escalated into a verbal standoff as Majithia and his family accused the officials of “trespassing” and using excessive force.
