Vancouver (Rajeev Sharma)— A Richmond woman has been sentenced to 18 months in jail after admitting to laundering criminal proceeds, marking one of the most significant convictions of its kind in British Columbia in more than a decade.Alexandra Joie Chow, 37, was arrested in 2021 following an extensive CFSEU-BC investigation into loan-sharking and underground financial networks. The probe began in 2019 and traced more than $800,000 in transactions linked to illegal activity.
