Chandigarh, August 23, 2025: Punjab Police intensified its anti-drug campaign on Saturday, carrying out simultaneous raids across the state and arresting 134 drug smugglers. The crackdown marked the 175th consecutive day of the state government’s “Yudh Nashian Virudh” drive launched under Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann.According to officials, police teams registered 95 FIRs during the operation and recovered 2.9 kg of heroin, 9 kg of poppy husk, 963 intoxicant tablets and capsules, along with ₹12,420 in cash.
