Speaker Kultar Singh Sandhwan Reviews Kotkapura Drainage and Civic Issues

Sandhwan, Punjab (Gurpreet Singh): Punjab Vidhan Sabha Speaker Kultar Singh Sandhwan today held a meeting with district officials at his native village Sandhwan to address Kotkapura’s recurring waterlogging problem and other civic concerns. Deputy Commissioner Poonamdeep Kaur and officials from various departments were present.

During the meeting, Speaker Sandhwan stressed that stagnant water during the rainy season creates major hardships for residents. He directed that regular cleaning of the city’s drainage and water disposal lines must be ensured so that citizens get permanent relief from the issue.

The meeting also discussed detailed plans for the upcoming new bus stand, the construction of a new tehsil complex, solid waste dump management, and improvement of sewerage repairs and sanitation facilities in Kotkapura.

Officials were given strict instructions to work in close coordination across departments, with the Speaker making it clear that negligence in carrying out these tasks would not be tolerated.

Present on the occasion were SDM Kotkapura Suraj Kumar, SDM Faridkot Major Dr. Varun Kumar, DRO Lovepreet Kaur, Advocate Birinder Singh Sandhwan, SDO Navin, Sewerage Board SDO Bhola, Sukhjit Singh Dhillon, Sukhwant Singh Pakka, Gary Warring, Amandeep Singh, MC Simranjit Singh, and EO Kotkapura Amrit Lal along with other departmental officials.
