Ahmedabad, June 12, 2025 – In a miraculous discovery amidst India’s deadliest aviation tragedy, one survivor has been pulled from the wreckage of Air India Flight AI171, which crashed shortly after takeoff from Ahmedabad en route to London.
The passenger, identified as Ramesh Kumar, was found alive in seat 11A, according to officials. He is currently undergoing treatment at Ahmedabad Civil Hospital and remains in critical care, though doctors say he is showing signs of stability.
The crash claimed 231 other lives, including passengers and several medical students at BJ Medical College, where the aircraft crashed into the undergraduate hostel mess.
This marks the only known survival from the devastating incident, which has shocked the nation and led to widespread international condolences.
