Six New Health Projects Begin in Rewari to Strengthen Rural Medical Infrastructure

Chandigarh, September 1 – Haryana Health Minister Aarti Singh Rao has announced the launch of six major health projects in Rewari district, aimed at enhancing medical services at the grassroots level. The projects, worth nearly ₹2.93 crore, include the construction of five sub-health centers (SHCs) and one block primary health unit (BPHU) in the Kosli Assembly constituency.

Work is already underway on SHCs in Chauki No. 2 village of Jatusana block, Mothla Kalan village of Dahina block, and Loochi village of Nahar block. Alongside, a BPHU is being established in Kosli village of Nahar block. Additional SHCs are also coming up in Nahargarh (Gamri) village of Nahar block and Dhavna village of Dahina block.

Highlighting the importance of the initiative, Minister Rao said, “The government’s priority is to strengthen healthcare services in rural areas. These new centers will ensure that quality medical treatment is available closer to home, reducing the need for patients to travel long distances.”

She further emphasized that health is the foundation of a strong society and these projects will provide advanced services to the people of Rewari while reinforcing the public healthcare system.

The initiatives are part of a wider state government plan to expand health infrastructure across Haryana. Authorities believe that the new facilities will not only ensure timely treatment for both rural and urban populations but also create job opportunities, strengthen maternal and child healthcare, and improve emergency response.
