Jalandhar/Ottawa (Rajeev Sharma/Gurpreet Singh): A haunting video capturing the final moments of Punjabi-origin YouTuber Nancy Grewal has surfaced online, offering a glimpse into her routine just hours before her death in Canada. The clip, posted by her sister Alisha Grewal, has stirred grief and concern among followers and the wider community.
The footage shows Nancy leaving her residence on the afternoon of March 4, calmly walking toward her car with a bag in hand. According to details shared by the family, the video was recorded shortly after 3 PM. She appears composed and focused, seemingly heading to work—unaware that it would be her last journey.
Sharing the video, Alisha expressed deep sorrow, saying she continues to miss her sister every day. She confirmed that Nancy never returned home after stepping out that afternoon.
Attack Later That Night
Authorities in Canada reported that the fatal incident took place later in the evening. Investigators believe the attackers entered her home around 9:30 PM, while Nancy had gone out to attend to a patient. She was allegedly confronted nearby and attacked with a sharp weapon, sustaining severe injuries.
Despite being rushed to hospital, she could not be saved. Officials have yet to recover any footage directly capturing the assault, complicating efforts to reconstruct the sequence of events.
Probe Intensifies Amid Threat Concerns
Family sources indicated that Nancy had recently faced threats, which may have prompted her to scale back her online presence. Her outspoken views on certain issues had reportedly made her a target.
Originally hailing from Jalandhar, Nancy had built a digital following through her content. Her untimely death has triggered an outpouring of condolences, with calls for swift action against those responsible.
Law enforcement agencies are continuing their investigation, working to identify suspects and determine the motive behind the attack.
