Chandigarh, March 29, 2025 – The Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) Parliamentary Board, under the leadership of Working President Balwinder Singh Bhunder, has decided to conduct the party’s organizational elections starting April 2, 2025. In the first phase, District and State delegates will be elected by April 6, 2025.
Disclosing this, Party Secretary and Spokesman Dr. Daljit Singh Cheema stated that party members who have not submitted their enrolment slips have been given a deadline of March 31, 2025, till 5:00 PM to complete the process. After this deadline, no enrolments will be accepted.
On April 11, a meeting of party observers will be held at the SAD headquarters, where they will receive guidelines and circle-level delegate lists. Elections for District and State delegates will take place on an Assembly segment basis from April 2 to April 6, and by April 7, all observers must submit the final delegate lists to the party head office.
Today’s Parliamentary Board meeting was attended by Gulzar Singh Ranike, Janmeja Singh Sekhon, Dr. Daljit Singh Cheema, and Hira Singh Gabiria, while Maheshinder Singh Grewal participated online.
