Shilpa Shetty and Raj Kundra Face Lookout Circular in ₹60 Crore Fraud Case

Mumbai, September 5, 2025 – The Mumbai Police have issued a Lookout Circular (LOC) against Bollywood actor Shilpa Shetty and her husband, businessman Raj Kundra, in a high-profile cheating case involving nearly ₹60 crore.

Officials confirmed on Friday that the Economic Offences Wing (EOW) initiated the measure due to the couple’s frequent international travel, raising concerns they might attempt to bypass the ongoing investigation. The LOC, now active at airports and border checkpoints, will alert authorities if they try to leave the country.

The case was registered at Juhu police station on August 14, based on a businessman’s complaint accusing Shetty and Kundra of duping him in a loan-cum-investment agreement.

Police clarified that an LOC is commonly used to either restrict a person’s foreign travel or to closely monitor their movements during probes into financial or criminal offences.
