Jaito, October 14: The Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) has launched the official web channel of Takht Sri Kesgarh Sahib, Anandpur Sahib, to mark the 350th martyrdom anniversary of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib Ji. The channel, available on YouTube and other digital platforms, will broadcast live Gurbani Kirtan daily from 5 a.m. to 9 p.m., enabling devotees worldwide to connect with the holy shrine and its spiritual ambiance.
In addition to the digital initiative, the SGPC has set up a special office at Takht Sri Kesgarh Sahib to oversee the smooth organization of events and coordinate arrangements related to the anniversary celebrations. During the launch ceremony, SGPC President Advocate Harjinder Singh Dhami and acting Jathedar of Sri Akal Takht Sahib and Takht Sri Kesgarh Sahib, Giani Kuldeep Singh Gargaaj, inaugurated the channel in the presence of religious and community leaders.
Speaking on the occasion, Advocate Dhami described the 350th martyrdom anniversary as a moment of great significance for the entire Sikh community. He said that the newly established office will manage all events, provide timely information to devotees, and handle publicity and coordination tasks.

Dhami added that the launch of the web channel is a timely step, as digital platforms allow devotees across the globe to connect with Gurbani and also stay updated on all upcoming anniversary events.
Focusing on hospitality arrangements, Dhami announced that special provisions for langar (community meals) are being made in view of the expected large gatherings. He held a meeting with religious organizations and Kar Sewa saints, where various locations were chosen for langar preparation. He urged that simple and traditional meals be served to maintain the spirit of seva (selfless service).
The SGPC President further stated that efforts are being made to involve the descendants of those for whom Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib sacrificed his life. He mentioned that the committee is reaching out to nearly 230 Hindu temple leaders, with plans for a joint meeting soon.
Dhami also urged the Punjab government to immediately halt ongoing construction work on the route leading to the Takht Sahib and to open the passage for devotees. He said such work should have been completed earlier, adding that the last-minute excavation is causing difficulties for the increasing influx of devotees ahead of the celebrations.
The event was attended by several prominent Sikh leaders, including Senior Akali leader S. Balwinder Singh Bhundar, S. Tejinder Singh Middukhera, SGPC Chief Secretary S. Kulwant Singh Mannan, member S. Daljit Singh Bhindar, Bhai Rajinder Singh Mehta, Bhai Amarjeet Singh Chawla, S. Ajmer Singh Khera, and various Kar Sewa saints and SGPC officials.
