Gurpreet Singh :- Seven personnel of the Central Reserve Police Force were injured on Saturday after their bulletproof bunker vehicle skidded off the road and fell into a canal in the Dagpora area of Srinagar. The accident took place along the Umar Hayer–Dagpora Road in Ahmed Nagar when the driver reportedly lost control of the vehicle, causing it to veer off the road and plunge into the water canal.
Rescue teams rushed to the spot immediately and shifted all the injured jawans to the Sher-e-Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences (SKIMS), Soura, for medical treatment. Officials identified the injured personnel as Naginder Singh (36), Ajit Kumar Ram (36), Raj Kishore Rai (40), Amit Kumar Yadav (38), Rajdhan Ram (55), Mankar Kumar (40), and Neeraj Kumar (45).
According to officials, the injured personnel sustained multiple injuries but are stated to be in stable condition. Authorities have initiated an inquiry to ascertain the exact cause of the accident.
