Chandigarh (Balwinder Singh): The Haryana government has extended the deadline for heads of departments to verify pending applications under the ‘Haryana Contractual Employees (Protection of Service) Act, 2024’ and ‘Rules, 2025’ to August 15, 2026. Along with this extension, all administrative departments have been strictly instructed to accelerate the verification process. Chief Secretary Anurag Rastogi has issued official directives to all administrative secretaries, heads of departments, and relevant competent authorities to ensure the timely completion of this task.
According to the issued guidelines, a previous letter dated May 6, 2026, had established a timeline for submitting applications, initial verification by Drawing and Disbursing Officers (DDOs), and final decisions by department heads. The government has now ordered all concerned departments to immediately communicate this revised deadline to lower-level officials. Furthermore, they must ensure that all pending applications undergo thorough digital and physical verification within the stipulated period, allowing eligible contractual employees to receive service security and associated benefits in a time-bound manner.
The administrative directives also clarified that a detailed user manual has already been made available on the designated online portal to assist DDOs and department heads. If any head of a department encounters login issues or any other technical difficulties on the portal, they are advised to immediately contact the Human Resources Department (HRD) or the technical wing of the Haryana Knowledge Corporation Limited (HKCL) to update their required details and ensure an uninterrupted verification process.
