SC Farmers to Get Tractor Subsidy of up to ₹3 Lakh in Haryana

Chandigarh, January 12: The Haryana Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Department has invited online applications for the Tractor Subsidy Scheme for the year 2025–26 to empower farmers belonging to the Scheduled Caste (SC) category. Eligible farmers can apply for the scheme through the department’s portal www.agriharyana.gov.in till January 15.

A government spokesperson said that Scheduled Caste farmers registered on the “Meri Fasal Mera Byora (MFMB)” portal and owning agricultural land are eligible to apply for a subsidy of up to ₹3 lakh per unit on tractors with a capacity of 45 horsepower (HP) or more. Land registered in the name of any family member under the Family Identity Card (PPP/Family ID) will also be considered valid.

The selection of beneficiaries will be carried out through an online draw by the district-level executive committee constituted under the chairmanship of the Deputy Commissioner. After the purchase of the tractor and physical verification, the subsidy amount will be directly transferred to the beneficiary’s bank account registered on the MFMB portal.

The spokesperson added that the applicant must be a resident of Haryana and belong to the Scheduled Caste category. Farmers who have availed tractor subsidy benefits under any departmental scheme during the last five years will not be eligible. Additionally, the beneficiary will not be allowed to sell the tractor for a period of five years from the date of purchase.
