Sanjeev Arora’s Company Rejects ED Allegations, Says Mobile Exports Were Genuine and Fully Verified

New Delhi (Gurpreet Singh): Hampton Sky Realty Limited, formerly known as Ritesh Properties and Industries Limited, on Friday issued a detailed statement defending its business operations and rejecting allegations linked to Enforcement Directorate (ED) proceedings.
The company, associated with Punjab Cabinet Minister and Rajya Sabha MP Sanjeev Arora, said it had “complete faith” in the legal and constitutional framework of the country and asserted that all its export transactions were genuine, transparent and fully verified by multiple statutory authorities.
In its official statement, the company said it entered the mobile-phone export business in May 2023 in line with the Centre’s “Make in India” initiative and the Production-Linked Incentive (PLI) scheme, under which India’s mobile-phone exports have witnessed massive growth over the past decade.
According to the company, it exported 44,471 units of branded mobile phones and accessories, including Apple iPhones, AirPods, Samsung and OnePlus devices, primarily to the United Arab Emirates.
The company stated that every export consignment underwent multiple layers of independent verification, including customs examination at Delhi airport, IMEI scanning through the ICEGATE system, cross-verification by global manufacturers such as Apple and Samsung, UAE customs endorsements and banking verification through authorised dealer banks.
It said over 16,000 IMEI numbers were independently verified through global activation databases maintained by manufacturers, which confirmed that the devices were activated outside India after export.
Calling IMEI verification the “strongest proof” of authenticity, the company said such data could neither be manipulated nor altered by any Indian entity.
The company also rejected allegations of round-tripping or bogus exports, stating that all export proceeds were received through authorised banking channels and fully paid to domestic suppliers through traceable transactions.
“Nothing has been retained off-shore, kept in concealed accounts, or routed back to any individual or entity,” the statement said.
Addressing concerns related to GST input tax credit, Hampton Sky Realty Limited said the issue pertained only to a small number of suppliers and that the company itself had filed an FIR in Ludhiana in May 2025 against three supplier firms after discovering alleged fraud on the supplier side.
The company claimed it was itself a “victim” in the matter and had proactively approached law enforcement agencies before any investigative action began.
It further stated that any GST amount under dispute had already been deposited and was currently being challenged through legal appeals before the GST Appellate Authority.
The company maintained that there was “no loss to the government exchequer” and reiterated that it was fully cooperating with authorities.
“The Company has complete faith in the established facts of the case, in the integrity of its statutory records, and in the wisdom of the Hon’ble Judiciary,” the statement added.
