Honoring Women’s Strength, Self-Reliance, and Social Contributions
Calgary, March 9, 2025: The Royal Women Cultural Association (RWCA) celebrated International Women’s Day with great enthusiasm. The event was organized under the leadership of RWCA founder and president Gurmeet Sarpal and director Prabhjot Khurmi. The program aimed to empower women by strengthening their self-reliance and confidence.
Addressing the gathering, Gurmeet Sarpal emphasized the importance of women in both the family and society, stating that when a society respects women and acknowledges their emotions, it fosters peace and harmony in families and communities. Prabhjot Khurmi welcomed new members and introduced them to RWCA’s core principles, encouraging them to actively participate in the association’s initiatives.
During the event, Dewangi honored Gurmeet Sarpal for her significant contributions to social service, presenting her with a special award on the occasion of International Women’s Day. RWCA, in collaboration with Pamir Canadian, expressed its commitment to continuing its efforts for social welfare and launching new initiatives for women’s empowerment. The association is also supporting Gurmeet Sarpal as a nominee for international recognition of her outstanding achievements.
Elderly women added to the celebrations with an energetic bhangra performance, enhancing the festive atmosphere. RWCA also made special arrangements, including refreshments, for all the distinguished women attending the event.
