RRTS Project Set to Transform Rewari and Bawal, Says Union Minister Rao Inderjit Singh

Chandigarh, December 14 — Union Minister of State for Statistics, Programme Implementation and Planning Rao Inderjit Singh on Sunday said that the upcoming Regional Rapid Transit System (RRTS) project will bring rapid and visible development to Rewari and Bawal, significantly improving connectivity and economic activity in the region.

The Union Minister was addressing a gathering in village Bambad of Rewari district after unveiling the statue of Kudiyaram Yadav. During the event, Rao Inderjit Singh announced a grant of ₹11 lakh for road construction work in the village, responding to long-pending local infrastructure needs.

Speaking on the occasion, the minister said that approval for the RRTS project is expected from the Union Cabinet soon, following which the region will witness accelerated urban and industrial growth. He said Rewari district is steadily emerging as a major hub for employment, infrastructure and investment due to sustained development initiatives.

Rao Inderjit Singh praised the organisers of the event and the family of Kudiyaram Yadav, including sarpanch representative Dharmbir Gabru, Harish Yadav and other family members, for honouring their ancestor by installing the statue. He said remembering and respecting forefathers strengthens social values and inspires future generations.

Highlighting the overall development trajectory of Rewari, the minister said the district is progressing rapidly in sectors such as national highways, education, healthcare and industrial expansion. The establishment of multiple institutions has created new opportunities for youth, enhancing Rewari’s recognition at national and international levels.

The Union Minister also assured villagers that their demands would be examined sympathetically and addressed through appropriate action. Several local residents and dignitaries were present during the programme.
