Reet Mushiana Launches Ward 5 Campaign with Stampede Breakfast in Northeast Calgary

Calgary (Rajeev Sharma): Community advocate and aspiring city councillor Reet Mushiana formally initiated her 2025 municipal election campaign for Ward 5 with a vibrant and well-attended Stampede Breakfast in Northeast Calgary.

The event united families, friends, and residents from across Ward 5 for a morning filled with pancakes, children’s activities, and community spirit. Children enjoyed face painting and cowboy hats, while attendees had the opportunity to connect with one another and meet the candidate.

Speaking to National Times, Reet Mushiana stated, “Today, as families lined up for pancakes and kids ran off with painted faces and cowboy hats, I felt deeply grateful. I am thankful for the chance to kick off this campaign surrounded by neighbours, friends, and so many families who visited today from across Ward 5.”

In her address, Reet passionately shared her motivation for entering the race: “Their energy reminded me exactly why I am in this race – to fight for the families who call this community home. We have a long road ahead, but today was the perfect start. Let us build a brighter future, together!” She continued, “I am thrilled to share that I am throwing my hat in the ring for the 2025 Municipal Elections. I am running for Councillor from Ward 5, and I am excited about the opportunity to make a difference in our community.”

Reet also expressed heartfelt appreciation for her family and supporters: “I want to thank each and every one of my family and friends who have supported me so far. Your love and encouragement mean the world to me.”
She concluded by emphasizing the need for change: “Our community deserves better, and it is time for us to come together and make a positive difference.”
With this official launch, Reet Mushiana has entered the race with strong momentum, a clear message, and a commitment to bring lasting change to Ward 5.
