National Times Bureau :- In a rare and extraordinary medical occurrence, a woman from Mothapura village, Sonali, wife of Asharam, has given birth to a baby girl with two heads, two hearts, four arms, and two legs, while sharing a single chest and abdomen.
Doctors have confirmed that the infant’s condition is currently stable, but due to the shared vital organs, surgical separation is not possible.
Receiving Treatment in Indore PICU
The baby is being treated at the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) of MY Hospital, Indore, where she remains on oxygen support. She was referred there from Maharaja Tukojirao Hospital (MTH) on August 13, shortly after delivery. This is the couple’s first child. A team of doctors is closely monitoring the baby and plans to conduct multiple tests, including sonography, to assess her health in detail.
Unusual Coordination Observed
Medical staff have also observed a striking pattern during the past 24 hours – when one of the twin heads cries, the other shows movement and wakes up, indicating an unusual neurological and physical coordination between the two.
This case has drawn significant medical attention due to its extreme rarity, and the infant continues to receive specialized care.
