National Times Bureau :- Rajya Sabha MP from Punjab, Dr. Vikramjit Singh Sahney, has announced a contribution of ₹1 crore towards flood relief and rehabilitation in Punjab. His donation has been made to the “Mission Chardikala – Chief Minister Rangla Punjab Fund” launched by the state government.
In addition, Dr. Sahney has set up a dedicated mega warehouse in Ajnala to support flood-affected families. From this facility, around 1,500 households are being provided with essential relief kits, while 250 quintals of fodder are being distributed weekly to support livestock.
Extending his commitment further, Dr. Sahney has pledged 50 tractors and 10 JCB machines to assist in desilting operations over the next three months in flood-hit regions. To help control the outbreak of diseases in affected villages, he has also announced the provision of 200 fogging machines to local panchayats.
Dr. Sahney emphasized that he remains committed to supporting Punjab during this crisis and ensuring timely aid reaches every family in need.
