Mumbai, March 2, 2025 – The fifth season of the Rajput Cup Cricket Tournament was successfully organized at the Goregaon Sports Club in Mumbai. Hosted by BIS Director Sanju Singh, the one-day tournament featured teams Rajput Warriors, Rajput Lions, Rajput Royals, Rajput Kings, and Rajput Yoddhas. After an intense competition, MSF Director Amit Singh’s team, Rajput Warriors, emerged as the champions.
Akshara Singh Encourages Young Talent
Renowned Bollywood and Bhojpuri actress Akshara Singh graced the event as a chief guest, alongside Jaunpur’s influential leader Dhananjay Singh and other celebrities from the film industry.
Expressing her excitement, Akshara Singh praised the tournament, saying,
“Such events should happen frequently to inspire young talents who dream of playing sports but don’t always get the opportunity. The dedication of these players, playing under the scorching sun, is commendable.”
She further emphasized the importance of sports and fitness, adding,
“Regardless of whether it’s cricket, football, volleyball, or any other sport, regular physical activity is essential. After the hardships of the COVID-19 pandemic, fitness has become more crucial than ever. I am grateful to the organizers for inviting me.”
Dhananjay Singh Applauds Sportsmanship
Jaunpur’s political leader Dhananjay Singh added prestige to the event with his presence. He remarked,
“Winning isn’t everything; every team performed exceptionally well. Sports serve as a powerful medium for social unity, and I hope this tournament continues for multiple days in the future, attracting Rajput teams from across the country.”
Star-Studded Presence
The tournament saw several Bollywood and Bhojpuri celebrities boosting the players’ morale, including Geeta Singh, Devesh Thakur, Amit Singh, Leena Kapoor, Apoorva Dutt, Angela Dobson, Amrish Singh, Vishnu Shankar Belu, Tahir Kamal Khan, Poonam Pandey, and film promoter Sanjay Bhushan Patiala.
As the fifth successful edition of the Rajput Cup, the event received widespread appreciation, with attendees congratulating the organizers and teams for a thrilling tournament.
