Rajpal Yadav Walks Out of Tihar Jail After Delhi High Court Grants Interim Relief

New Delhi (Gurpreet Singh): Actor Rajpal Yadav was released from Tihar Jail on Tuesday evening after the Delhi High Court granted him interim suspension of his six-month sentence in cheque bounce cases.

Yadav walked out of the jail around 4:50 pm after completing the required formalities, sources said. The relief was granted after he deposited ₹1.5 crore with the complainant, M/s Murali Projects Pvt Ltd.

Outside the jail, the actor thanked his supporters and said he had consistently followed court directions. “In 2027, I will complete 30 years in Bollywood. Everyone has been with me. That is why I could do 200–250 films,” Yadav told reporters.

He added that he remains available whenever required by the court and is prepared to respond transparently to any allegations. “If anyone wants legal details, they can speak to my advocate,” he said, highlighting the support he has received from across the country.

Justice Swarana Kanta Sharma ordered interim suspension of the sentence until the next hearing, observing that Yadav had deposited the settlement amount. The court directed the actor to surrender his passport and not leave India without prior permission. He has also been instructed to appear physically or virtually at the next hearing scheduled for March 18.

Yadav had sought suspension of his sentence citing a family wedding scheduled for February 19.
