Punjabi Music Producer Pinky Dhaliwal Arrested After Sunanda Sharma’s Explosive Allegations

Mohali, March 9, 2025: Punjabi music producer Pinky Dhaliwal has been arrested by Punjab Police following serious allegations made by singer Sunanda Sharma. The arrest came after an FIR was registered at Mataur Police Station under the direction of Punjab State Commission for Women Chairperson Raj Lali Gill. The case has sent shockwaves through the Punjabi music industry.

Sunanda Sharma Accuses Dhaliwal of Exploitation

Sharma, known for her hit songs, took to social media to allege that Dhaliwal withheld her payments, issued threats, and attempted to control her career. She claimed that for years, she was denied her rightful earnings and pressured to remain associated with Dhaliwal’s company against her will.

Punjab Women’s Commission Takes Immediate Action

“I am an independent artist, and no one holds exclusive rights over my career,” Sharma stated, calling for action against those who exploit artists in the industry.

Following Sharma’s revelations, Raj Lali Gill, Chairperson of the Punjab State Commission for Women, took suo motu notice and directed the police to file an FIR against Dhaliwal. She stated that the producer had been exploiting Sharma for years, keeping her trapped in an unfair professional arrangement through coercion.
