Toronto (Rajeev Sharma): In a shocking act of violence, Punjabi singer Teji Kahlon was seriously wounded in a shooting incident that took place in Canada. The attack, which is suspected to have ties to organized crime, has triggered alarm both within the Punjabi community and among law enforcement agencies.
According to early reports, Kahlon was targeted by unknown assailants and sustained significant injuries. He was swiftly transported to a local hospital, where he is currently undergoing treatment. Medical officials have described his condition as critical but stable.
Shortly after the attack, a disturbing message appeared on social media, in which three individuals allegedly associated with the Rohit Godara gang took responsibility for the shooting. The post also included a direct threat, stating that the next attempt on Kahlon’s life would be fatal.
The Rohit Godara gang, already under scrutiny for its links to extortion and contract killings in Punjab, is suspected of expanding its operations internationally. Law enforcement officials believe the group may be targeting public figures, especially those in the entertainment industry, to assert dominance and send a message to others.
So far, no suspects have been detained, but surveillance footage from the area and witness testimonies are being examined.
