PSPCL Director Resigns After Five Months

National Times Bureau :- Amid an ongoing strike by electricity employees over their demands, which has brought work to a complete halt, another significant development has emerged. Hira Lal Goel, Director Commercial of Punjab State Power Corporation Limited (PSPCL), has tendered his resignation from the post. Notably, he had assumed this position in March 2025.

According to sources, he submitted his resignation on August 7, 2025, citing health reasons. As of today, the authorities responsible for appointments have not yet formally accepted his resignation.

Confirming the news, Goel stated, “My doctor has advised me to take certain health precautions and rest. After consulting with medical experts, I decided to submit my resignation papers.”

Hira Lal Goel was appointed as Director Commercial for a tenure of two years. Born on June 5, 1966, the engineer joined PSEB on November 2, 1989. Over the span of 35 years, he has gained extensive experience across multiple departments, including Distribution, Grid O&M, Stores, Planning, Thermal, Hydel, Enforcement, Technical Audit, HR at PSTCL, and Planning at PSTCL.
