Punjab Police Nab Two More in Chandigarh Blast Probe, Drone-Supplied Arms Angle Emerges

Chandigarh/Amritsar (Gurpreet Singh): The investigation into the explosion at a BJP office in Chandigarh has gained momentum with the arrest of two additional suspects by Punjab Police, officials said on Sunday. The latest arrests point to a possible cross-border network involved in the incident.

The accused, Navdeep and Hardeep, both residents of Tarn Taran district, were taken into custody from Amritsar. According to sources, they are suspected to have been involved in handling explosives and facilitating the movement of funds linked to the case.

Investigators have indicated that the weapons recovered were allegedly smuggled from Pakistan using drones, highlighting a growing security concern along the border. The consignment is believed to have reached Punjab earlier this month.

Authorities are now examining the communication trail of the accused to determine how they came into contact with handlers operating from across the border. Officials suspect that the duo may have been part of a wider network engaged in similar activities in the past.

The police are conducting detailed questioning to uncover the full extent of their involvement, including identifying other potential associates and locations linked to the operation. Financial transactions connected to the case are also under scrutiny.

With multiple agencies now involved, the case is being treated as a high-priority investigation. Officials are expected to share more details as the probe advances.
