Ferozepur, October 28, 2025: The Counter Intelligence Wing of Ferozepur carried out a successful operation, uncovering a major cross-border drug racket. During the operation, police arrested Gurpreet Singh, also known as Gora, and seized five kilograms of heroin.
Initial findings suggest that the narcotics were smuggled into India by traffickers operating from Pakistan. A case has been registered at the State Special Operation Cell (SSOC) in Fazilka, and further investigations are ongoing to expose the entire supply chain and identify other members involved.
Officials said that Punjab Police remains dedicated to cracking down on international drug syndicates and protecting the state’s youth from the growing menace of narcotics.
