Punjab Police Arrest 370 in Fresh Statewide Crackdown on Gangster Networks

Chandigarh (Gurpreet Singh): Punjab Police, in coordination with the Anti-Gangster Task Force (AGTF), has intensified its campaign against organised criminal networks, carrying out hundreds of raids across the state as part of its latest enforcement drive.

During Day 224 of the ‘Gangstran Te Vaar’ campaign, police teams conducted 598 raids at locations identified as being linked to gangster activities. The operation resulted in the arrest of 370 individuals, according to figures released by the Punjab Police.

Among those detained were five proclaimed offenders, while law enforcement teams also recovered four weapons during the coordinated action.

The latest operation has taken the total number of arrests made since the campaign began to 67,207, reflecting the scale of the police crackdown over the course of the ongoing campaign.

Officials said the raids were carried out at previously identified and mapped locations as part of efforts to disrupt gangster networks and prevent organised criminal activity.

The Punjab Police and AGTF have continued to focus on identifying individuals connected with criminal groups and taking action against those wanted in various cases.

The department said the campaign will continue, with the broader objective of dismantling gangster networks and strengthening public safety across Punjab.
