National Times Bureau :- Sant Baba Baljinder Singh Ji, head of the Rara Sahib sect, passed away suddenly after the evening prayer service. Punjab Finance Minister Harpal Singh Cheema visited Gurdwara Karamsar, Rara Sahib, on Monday to pay his final respects and offered a ceremonial shawl on behalf of the state government. MLA Manwinder Singh Gyaspura also accompanied him.
Cheema expressed deep sorrow over the loss, calling it an irreparable void for the Sikh community. “Sant Baba Baljinder Singh Ji devoted his life to spreading Sikh teachings across India and abroad. His departure is a great loss for all of us,” he said.
The minister and the accompanying leaders also attended the 50th death anniversary ceremony of Sant Baba Isher Singh Ji at the same gurdwara. The funeral of Sant Baba Baljinder Singh Ji will be held on August 27 at 3 p.m., with the final rites and flower offering to take place the following morning.
