National Times Bureau :- In the wake of widespread destruction caused by relentless rains across Punjab, the state government has swung into action to mitigate the crisis. Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann announced the formation of a high-level committee tasked with overseeing flood management and coordinating relief efforts in the affected regions.
The committee will assess the extent of the damage, streamline rescue and relief operations, and implement preventive measures to curb further losses. The move comes amid increasing public concern over rising water levels, damaged infrastructure, and displaced residents in several districts.
Officials stated that the panel will work closely with local administrations to ensure timely assistance, including the distribution of essential supplies, medical aid, and rehabilitation support for those impacted by the floods.
