Punjab Finalises Routes for Four Major Shobha Yatras Honouring 650th Prakash Purab of Sri Guru Ravidas Ji

Chandigarh (Gurpreet Singh): A special meeting dedicated to the 650th Prakash Purab of Sri Guru Ravidas Ji was held today at the office of the Department of Cultural Affairs, Punjab. A number of religious leaders joined this meeting. Detailed discussions were held regarding the events organised so far as well as the upcoming events. This information was shared by Deepak Bali, Advisor to the Department of Tourism and Cultural Affairs, Punjab.

Sant Mahapurushes Sant Gurdeep Giri Ji (Pathankot), Sant Pradeep Das Ji (Dera Kathar), Sant Keval Ji (Tap Asthan Sri Khuralgarh Sahib) and Sant Satwinder Singh Heera Ji (Khuralgarh Sahib) were specially present at the meeting. Welcoming all the religious leaders, Deepak Bali said that out of the 92 drone shows planned by the Punjab Government, around 80 drone shows and 9 out of 12 Kirtan Samagams have been successfully completed so far, while the remaining events are also continuing.

Giving information about the upcoming events, Director of the Department Sanjeev Tiwari said that four Shobha Yatras would start from different places and reach Sri Khuralgarh Sahib. The first Shobha Yatra, after a special event at Banaras Kashi, the birthplace of Guru Ravidas Sahib, will commence on November 30 and reach Sri Khuralgarh Sahib by the evening of December 3. The second Shobha Yatra will start from Bathinda on December 2 and, after stopping at different cities, will reach there on the night of December 3. The third Shobha Yatra will start from Faridkot on December 1 and, passing through Ludhiana and Phagwara, will reach there on the night of December 3. The fourth Shobha Yatra will start from Jammu and, passing through Pathankot, Amritsar, Jalandhar and Hoshiarpur, will reach Sri Khuralgarh Sahib.

He said that many events have been scheduled at Sri Khuralgarh Sahib on December 4, 5 and 6. On the first day, the Akhand Path Sahib will commence and a Sant Sammelan will be organised. On the second day, a Katha Kirtan Darbar, seminar and exhibition will be organised. On the third day, the Bhog of Akhand Path Sahib and a Begampura Samagam will be organised. On all three days, drone shows depicting the life and teachings of Guru Sahib will also be organised in the evening.

On this occasion, Sant Kuldeep Giri Ji, said that getting the opportunity to celebrate the 650th Prakash Purab of Sri Guru Ravidas Maharaj Ji is a matter of great fortune for the entire Sangat and appealed to everyone to participate in the upcoming events.

During the meeting, the religious leaders expressed satisfaction over the events planned by the Punjab Government and said that these events are being organised in a meaningful manner and with proper arrangements. They appealed to the Sangat to participate in these events in large numbers. Deepak Bali assured that the Punjab Government is making every possible arrangement to celebrate the events marking the 650th Prakash Purab with complete devotion and reverence.
