The Ashirwad Scheme offers Rs 51,000 in marriage assistance for girls from eligible families, with support available for up to two daughters. The funds are transferred directly to the beneficiary’s bank account through the DBT (Direct Benefit Transfer) system, ensuring transparency and quick delivery.
To qualify, applicants must be permanent residents of Punjab, have an annual household income below Rs 32,790, and belong to either the SC, BC, or Economically Weaker Section (EWS) categories.
Dr. Kaur emphasized that the scheme, under Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann’s leadership, is part of a broader mission to build a progressive and inclusive ‘Rangla Punjab,’ not just through financial aid but by empowering marginalized communities.
