Amritsar, September 30, 2025 – The Punjab government has announced a local holiday in Amritsar district on Wednesday, 8th October, to mark the birth anniversary of Shri Guru Ramdas Ji Maharaj.
According to the official notification, all schools, colleges, and government offices in the district will remain closed on this day. The local holiday applies to all government departments, boards, corporations, and educational institutions within Amritsar district.
