Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann Admitted to Hospital; Health Improving as Visitors Arrive

Punjab Taps Market for Rs 1,000 Crore Loan Amid Ongoing Borrowing Trend

Chandigarh (Gurpreet Singh): Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann is currently receiving treatment at Fortis Hospital in Mohali, where he has been admitted for the second consecutive day due to health concerns. His condition is reportedly stabilizing, with doctors monitoring his recovery closely after he was admitted on Friday night following complaints of weakness and a slow heartbeat.

The hospital administration confirmed that Mann, who had been feeling unwell for the past two days, was initially resting at his residence in Chandigarh. However, as his symptoms worsened, including an increase in fatigue, he was rushed to the hospital for further evaluation and care. Since then, medical professionals have been consistently checking his vital signs, and reports indicate that his pulse rate is now improving.

Amid his hospitalization, Mann has received visits from close family members, including his mother, as well as AAP leader and former Deputy Chief Minister of Delhi, Manish Sisodia. The visit comes as a source of support during the Chief Minister’s recovery process.

Despite his improving health, the CM’s condition has caused disruption in his schedule. A key cabinet meeting that was planned for Friday evening had to be postponed due to Mann’s hospitalization. Additionally, his planned trip to visit flood-hit areas with Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal was also delayed. The cancellation of these events has raised concerns, though government officials have assured that the state’s operations will continue in the interim.

As of now, Mann’s doctors are optimistic about his recovery, and the situation appears to be under control. His family and political colleagues are hopeful that he will return to work soon, once his health is fully restored. The Chief Minister’s office has expressed gratitude for the outpouring of support and well-wishes from citizens and political leaders alike.

In the meantime, the administration is carrying on with the business of the state, with key leaders stepping in to manage responsibilities while Mann recuperates. The state remains hopeful that the Chief Minister will recover swiftly and return to leading Punjab through its ongoing challenges.
