Mohali (Punjab), January 18, 2026: Punjab Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) president Sunil Jakhar was discharged from a private hospital in Mohali on Sunday after doctors ruled out any serious health concerns following complaints of chest discomfort.
Hospital officials at Fortis Hospital said Jakhar underwent angiography and other necessary medical examinations, which did not indicate any major cardiac or related issues. His condition remained stable throughout the period of observation.
Sources said Jakhar was admitted as a precautionary step and was kept under close medical supervision while routine diagnostic tests were conducted. After reviewing the reports, doctors confirmed that his health parameters were normal and approved his discharge.
Medical authorities also stated that there was no immediate cause for concern and advised Jakhar to continue with regular follow-up check-ups as part of standard medical care.
