Punjab and Haryana High Court Seeks Compliance Report on Fake Bail Identity and Bond Issue

National Times Bureau :- The Punjab and Haryana High Court has asked the administrations of Punjab, Haryana, and Chandigarh to clarify whether they have complied with its directions issued four months ago to tackle the growing problem of fake identities and fraudulent bail bonds.

A division bench comprising Chief Justice Sheel Nagu and Justice Ramesh Kumari raised the matter during a public interest litigation hearing, seeking an update on the steps taken so far.

The next hearing in this case is scheduled for September 18, where the court may consider stricter measures if the progress is found unsatisfactory.
