Chandigarh (Balwinder Singh): Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to visit Jind on July 17, 2026, marking a significant milestone in the infrastructure and sustainable development of the state. During his visit, the Prime Minister will officially flag off India’s very first hydrogen-powered train, which will operate between Jind and Sonipat. In addition to launching this eco-friendly transit initiative, Prime Minister Modi will unveil several other development projects worth millions of rupees, aimed at boosting regional connectivity and economic growth across Haryana.
Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini reviewed the ongoing preparations at the Jind railway junction and the HUDA ground to ensure the venue is ready for the high-profile event. Speaking at a press conference at the Public Works Department rest house, the Chief Minister emphasized that the upcoming rally will be entirely eco-friendly to promote the national message of reducing dependence on petrol and diesel. Attendees are encouraged to utilize electric vehicles, compressed natural gas vehicles, and e-rickshaws to reach the venue. The Prime Minister’s address will also be broadcast live via LED screens at various designated locations across the state to reach a wider audience.
To guarantee a seamless event, the Chief Minister held a comprehensive feedback session with cabinet ministers, lawmakers, and senior administrative officials. Chief Minister Saini issued strict directives to the state administration to finalize all logistics within the stipulated timeframe, with special emphasis on traffic management, route planning, security arrangements, uninterrupted power supply, and public amenities. The high-level meeting was attended by prominent dignitaries including BJP State President Dr. Archana Gupta, Chief Secretary Anurag Rastogi, and various state ministers, all working in coordination to oversee the final security and infrastructure checks.
