On behalf of the Government of Alberta, Premier Danielle Smith acknowledged the remarkable contributions women continue to make in communities across the province, throughout Canada, and around the world. She emphasized that women play a vital role in shaping society by building successful businesses, strengthening families and communities, leading organizations, and contributing to fields such as education, healthcare, and social development. She noted that women have always been a driving force behind progress and innovation, helping create a brighter and more inclusive future for all Albertans.
Premier Smith also commended National Times Media for its initiative to spotlight the stories and achievements of inspiring women during International Women’s Month, recognizing the organization’s efforts in sharing these powerful narratives with the wider community.
