PM Modi’s Nationwide Address Scheduled for 5 PM

New Delhi, September 21, 2025: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address the nation at 5 pm today, focusing on significant economic and global developments, including the introduction of GST 2.0 and the recently announced changes to H-1B visa rules by the United States.

Government sources suggest that the Prime Minister is likely to discuss how GST 2.0 will simplify the tax system, improve compliance, and enhance digital integration for businesses. The reforms are expected to facilitate smoother trade, strengthen revenue collection, and boost the overall economic environment ahead of the festive season.

Alongside domestic economic updates, PM Modi may also address India’s response to the $100,000 fee imposed on new H-1B visa applicants by US President Donald Trump. This policy has raised concerns among Indian professionals working in the United States, and officials expect the Prime Minister to highlight measures to safeguard the interests of Indian skilled workers abroad.

While the primary focus will be on economic and international developments, sources indicate that PM Modi could also briefly touch upon India’s national security achievements, including the successful Operation Sindoor earlier this year, which targeted terror camps in Pakistan.

The address comes on the eve of the first day of Navratri, and citizens across the country are expected to tune in to hear updates on economic reforms, international affairs, and national security.
