Chandigarh, June 29 – A community listening event for Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s monthly radio programme ‘Mann Ki Baat’ was held today in Gurugram. The special gathering saw the presence of BJP National President J.P. Nadda, Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini, and Haryana BJP President Mohanlal Kaushik, along with Industries, Commerce, and Environment Minister Rao Narbir Singh.
During the event, senior leaders joined local citizens and party workers at the GNH Convention Centre in Booth No. 4 of Badshahpur Assembly segment to listen to the Prime Minister’s thoughts and engage in discussions based on his message.
Speaking to media after the programme, Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini said that PM Modi, through ‘Mann Ki Baat,’ shares the experiences of citizens who have contributed to the nation through their personal efforts, which inspires the broader public. He stated that the programme serves as a significant source of motivation for future generations and the common people.
After the broadcast, BJP leaders distributed Ayushman cards under the Ayushman Bharat Scheme to eligible beneficiaries. The aim of this initiative was to ensure that the government’s welfare schemes reach the last mile. The event in Gurugram contributed significantly to strengthening public outreach and trust, with a large turnout of enthusiastic citizens and party workers.
CM Appeals for Participation in “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam” Campaign
On this occasion, Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini, along with BJP National President J.P. Nadda and Environment Minister Rao Narbir Singh, participated in a tree plantation drive at the Forest Corridor developed by the Forest Department over the Badshahpur drain near Vatika Chowk. The Chief Minister urged the people of Haryana to actively participate in the “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam” (One Tree in Mother’s Name) campaign, aimed at environmental conservation.
He said that through this initiative, every citizen should plant and protect at least one sapling in the name of their mother. Such efforts would not only contribute to making Haryana greener but also help combat the challenges posed by climate change.
The event was attended by Sohna MLA Tejpal Tanwar, Pataudi MLA Bimla Chaudhary, Gurugram MLA Mukesh Sharma, former MP and BJP Parliamentary Board member Dr. Sudha Yadav, Deputy Commissioner Ajay Kumar, Municipal Commissioner Pradeep Dahiya, former MLA Sanjay Singh, BJP District President Sarvapriya Tyagi, Municipal Councillor Kuldeep Yadav, and other dignitaries.
