Dahod (Gujarat), May 26, 2025: Prime Minister Narendra Modi delivered a stern warning to terror groups and their foreign sponsors during a public rally in Dahod, declaring that the days are numbered for those who threaten Indian women and national security.
Referring to the devastating April 22 Pahalgam terror attack in which 26 people were killed, PM Modi said, “Those who dared to wipe off the sindoor of our sisters, your end is near.” His remarks came in the aftermath of India’s retaliatory military campaign, Operation Sindoor, which targeted terror infrastructure across Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir (PoJK).
Operation Sindoor, launched on May 7, saw the Indian Armed Forces conduct precision strikes against nine terror facilities, followed by the destruction of radar, airbase, and communication assets during Pakistan’s attempted countermeasures. Over 100 terrorists, including key members of groups like Lashkar-e-Taiba and Jaish-e-Mohammed, were eliminated.
Speaking in Gujarati, Modi also addressed India’s strategic restraint and humanitarian priorities. “Pakistan is busy hating India, while we are busy fighting poverty,” he stated, reiterating that India will no longer tolerate cross-border terrorism.
Urging citizens to support the country’s self-reliance mission, Modi appealed for the use of Indian-made products during festivals. “This Diwali, Holi, Ganesh Puja only buy Made in India goods. This is the path to India’s strength,” he said.
PM Modi’s comments signal a continuation of his government’s assertive counter-terror policy, coupled with an emphasis on national pride, economic independence, and security.
