PM Modi to Visit Haryana on October 17, to Unveil Major Development Projects Worth Crores

Chandigarh, October 10, 2025: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Sonipat, Haryana, on October 17, where he is expected to inaugurate and lay the foundation stones of several developmental projects worth crores of rupees. The visit aims to accelerate Haryana’s growth and further strengthen the vision of “Viksit Bharat – Viksit Haryana.”

Ahead of the Prime Minister’s visit, Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini chaired a high-level review meeting in Chandigarh with senior officials from various departments. He issued detailed instructions to ensure that all preparations for the event are completed on time and in coordination among departments.

Saini reviewed the progress of proposed projects scheduled for inauguration and foundation laying. He directed officials to finalize the event schedule, route plan, security measures, and crowd management strategies, ensuring that all arrangements at the venue are completed within the stipulated timeframe.

The Chief Minister emphasized that the general public should not face any inconvenience while reaching the venue. He instructed officials to prepare separate route plans for attendees and ensure adequate parking arrangements near the site. Saini also stressed maintaining strict focus on security, traffic management, sanitation, drinking water, and public amenities during the Prime Minister’s visit.

Highlighting the development journey of Haryana, Saini said that under Prime Minister Modi’s leadership, the state has achieved remarkable growth over the past decade. Effective implementation of central schemes, people-centric policies of the state government, and transparent administrative reforms have made Haryana one of the leading states in India.

He added that the Prime Minister’s upcoming visit is not only a moment of pride for Haryana but also a milestone in its development journey. Saini stated that combined efforts of the Centre and State governments have led to rapid progress in infrastructure, investment, employment generation, and civic facilities across the state. Modi’s visit, he said, will further reinforce the Centre’s commitment to Haryana’s holistic development.

The meeting was attended by Chief Secretary Anurag Rastogi, Principal Secretary to CM Rajesh Khullar, Additional Chief Secretary (Home) Dr. Sumita Mishra, Principal Secretary to CM Arun Kumar Gupta, ACS (Power) A.K. Singh, Commissioner and Secretary (Housing for All) Mohammad Shayin, Additional Principal Secretary to CM Dr. Saket Kumar, Director General (Information, Public Relations, Languages & Culture) K. Makarand Pandurang, Special Secretary (Personnel & Training) Dr. Aditya Dahiya, and Deputy Principal Secretary to CM Yashpal, among others.
