New Delhi (Gurpreet Singh): Prime Minister Narendra Modi met with the newly constituted team of Bharatiya Janata Party national office-bearers in New Delhi on Saturday, emphasizing that organizational deliberations bring fresh ideas and perspectives essential for reinforcing the party’s foundation and deepening its public outreach. The meeting marked the first comprehensive interaction between the Prime Minister, party president Nitin Nabin, and the revamped organizational committee announced on August 17.
The high-level session, hosted at the BJP national headquarters, was attended by members of the newly appointed team, select outgoing national executive members, and several state unit chiefs. Sharing his reflections on social media following the meeting, Prime Minister Modi highlighted the value of engaging with colleagues to explore innovative strategies for expanding the party’s grassroots connection.
The newly formed national team under party president Nitin Nabin comprises 65 office-bearers, featuring a significant influx of 51 new faces across diverse organisational roles. Senior leaders present at the gathering included newly appointed vice-presidents Ram Madhav and former Rajasthan chief minister Vasundhara Raje, general secretaries Smriti Irani and Biplab Deb, general secretary for organisation B.L. Santhosh, and Union Minister and party treasurer Piyush Goyal.
Party sources indicated that the meeting centred around key strategic priorities, focusing on organizational mobilisation at the grassroots level, structured planning for upcoming state assembly elections, and systematically communicating central government policies and welfare initiatives to citizens across the country.
