New Delhi, April 26 — Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday distributed more than 51,000 appointment letters to newly recruited candidates across various central government departments and organizations during the 15th Rozgar Mela. The event was conducted virtually and connected 47 locations across India.
Addressing the newly inducted employees, PM Modi congratulated them and emphasized their role in shaping India’s future. “Your new responsibilities directly contribute to strengthening the country’s economy, infrastructure, and internal security,” he said. He urged them to work with dedication, stressing that their efforts would accelerate India’s journey toward becoming a developed nation.
PM Modi also highlighted the government’s focus on promoting self-employment through initiatives like Skill India, Startup India, and Digital India. He said the new Manufacturing Mission, announced in the 2025-26 Budget, would boost the Make in India movement and open up global opportunities for Indian youth.
Citing the recent UPSC exam results, the Prime Minister praised the increasing participation of women in key sectors. “The top two ranks in the latest UPSC exams were secured by daughters of India,” he noted, calling it a proud achievement.
The Prime Minister further spoke about the importance of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in the digital economy. He announced that workshops would soon be organized to help young Indians learn emerging technologies, giving them an edge in global innovation.
He also encouraged the youth to participate in the ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ initiative by planting a tree in honor of their mothers, linking it to a broader environmental mission.
“Together, we will build a Bharat that is not only Viksit (developed) but also Samriddh (prosperous),” PM Modi concluded.
