Patiala – Flood Threat Rises in Ghaggar River, Residents on Alert

National Times Bureau :- The flood threat along the Ghaggar River near the Punjab–Haryana border has intensified as water levels continued to rise compared to the previous day. Officials stationed at the Harchandpura bridge, including Duty Officer and Block Development & Panchayat Officer Gurmeet Singh and Panchayat Officer Jatinder Singh, reported a 4–5 inch increase in the river’s level overnight.

While the situation on the Punjab side remains under control, the river has started to swell at several points, raising concerns among residents. Moderate rainfall has been ongoing in the area since morning, adding to the tension.
