Kapurthala, Punjab (National Times)– Pastor Bajinder Singh, a self-styled Christian prophet, has denied allegations of sexual assault, calling them false and fabricated. The Kapurthala Police have registered a case against him following a complaint by a woman who claimed she was a disciple of the pastor and accused him of inappropriate behavior and unwanted advances.
In his defense, Singh stated that the woman had been suffering from an “evil spirit” and had come to him for prayers and healing. “She was experiencing fits and sought spiritual help. Now, these false accusations are being made against me,” he claimed.
Dismissing the allegations as baseless, Singh pointed to advancements in technology that could be used to fabricate evidence. “We live in an era where chats can be forged, and even voices can be generated using AI. If there is any real proof, let it be presented,” he said.
He further insisted that the woman and her family had a close relationship with his religious institution. “She is like a daughter to us. Her mother has been associated with us for years as our sister. This is nothing but propaganda,” Singh added.
The police investigation is ongoing, and officials have yet to release further details regarding the case.
