Panchkula: Six Children Injured as Tree Falls on School Van Amid Heavy Rain

National Times Bureau :- A major accident occurred in Panchkula during heavy rainfall when a large tree fell on a moving school van, injuring six children on board. The incident took place on Wednesday afternoon while the van was transporting students back home after school hours.

Eyewitnesses reported that the sudden downpour, accompanied by strong winds, caused the tree to collapse directly onto the vehicle. Local residents and passersby rushed to the spot and immediately informed the authorities.

The injured children were swiftly rescued and taken to a nearby hospital, where they are currently receiving treatment. Doctors have confirmed that none of the injuries are life-threatening.

District administration and education department officials reached the site to assess the situation. The area has been cordoned off, and an investigation has been initiated to determine the cause of the tree collapse. Authorities have also issued an advisory urging schools and parents to remain vigilant amid ongoing heavy rains in the region.
